We are a faith community which began a journey of worship in this place in 1861. We strive to be faithful to that journey as we continue to worship together.

We gather as a community of faith to worship our Triune God in the context of the Reformed tradition. Worshiping God is for God’s pleasure. Come and join us in worship to show God your love. We believe that as a community of faith, we can best experience God’s teachings as we worship together, and share our journeys of faith with one another.

Recognizing there are countless ways to worship that appeal to a wide variety of individuals, we offer various styles of worship. We also offer small group opportunities and various options to volunteer to serve our congregation and communities.

Our Sunday morning worship service is a traditional style service, with a focus on scripture, preaching and liturgy. Music is led by our organist and choirs. Worship is a celebratory time in our congregation: joys and concerns are lifted up from the congregation, community, and world; prayers are offered; communion and baptism are celebrated; hymns are sung; and we hear God’s Word in scripture and preaching.

Our children are welcomed into worship at the beginning of the Sunday morning service and led in reflection by the pastors, after this time they go on to Rotation Sensation. Children are always welcome in worship, and there are opportunities for family worship throughout the year, especially during holidays. Following worship is our coffee hour, a time when the congregation gathers to share in conversation and fellowship.

Children's Sermon time during Sunday morning worship

Sunday morning worship

We worship together on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am (Labor Day through Father's Day) in the sanctuary. Childcare is provided during this service. During the summer months Sunday worship is at 9:15am.

The Chancel Choir rehearses on Thursday from 7:45 - 9:30 and is open to singers in high school and older. They sing most Sundays September - June and prepare special music for Christmas and Easter. For the Fall, we enter with a great sense of promise.  For the adult choir this means an exciting program of beautiful and inspired music. We will be taking a musical journey that will include many heartfelt selections taken from traditional hymns, African American spirituals, gospel, contemporary Christian, classical, acapella, and more. In addition to our traditional choir we may also have opportunities to explore special formats that could include arrangements for solo, all female, and or all male performances. All are welcome.  Please email or call if you are interested in joining, or just dropping in to participate in a rehearsal:  732-741-1219, or E-Mail Andreea.

We are having our first get together at the Manse on Wednesday, August 30th at 6pm where Reverend John Monroe will be gracious enough serve as host for an evening of light dinner before an informal choir rehearsal. The abbreviated rehearsal will be held in the church at 7:30pm.

The official beginning of our rehearsal season begins on Thursday, September 6th at 7:45 - 9:30pm. We will be singing in church the following Sunday, the 9th (first Sunday after Labor Day).

The Bingham Ringers (handbells) rehearses on Thursdays from 6:15-7:30 and are open to 7th grade and older. Our goal is to prepare musical selections for Christmas, Easter and possibly an additional Sunday.

We are certain that we are in for a great year of music and fun.  We are also seeking new members to add to the bell choir. This is a unique opportunity to join a fun group of musical bell ringers. We are inviting and encouraging anyone with even the slightest bit of interest to give it a try, even those without prior musical experience. Stop by a rehearsal, call, or email if you are interested:  732-741-1219, or E-Mail Andreea.  The bell choir rehearsals will begin starting Thursday, September 12th from 6:15-7:30pm. New members are welcome!
